This Debian security advisory addresses multiple vulnerabilities in Samba (CVE-2026-1933, CVE-2026-2340, CVE-2026-3012, CVE-2026-3238, CVE-2026-4408, CVE-2026-4480) that could lead to access check bypass, file overwrite via the WORM VFS module, unverified CA certificate installation via GPO auto-enrollment, denial of service, or remote code execution. For Debian 12 (bookworm), the issues are fixed in samba version 2:4.17.12+dfsg-0+deb12u4; for Debian 13 (trixie), in version 2:4.22.8+dfsg-0+deb13u2. IT professionals should upgrade their samba packages immediately.
