A vulnerability (CVE-2026-50292, CVSS 7.4 HIGH) in libinput allows a local attacker to inject arbitrary udev properties due to improper device property escaping, potentially leading to arbitrary code execution with root privileges. The affected versions are freedesktop libinput prior to 1.30.4 and versions from 1.31.0 through 1.31.2. The flaw is remediated by upgrading to libinput version 1.30.4 or 1.31.3.
