RHSA-2026:64792: Critical: redhat-ds:11 security, bug fix, and enhancement update

A critical security update for Red Hat Directory Server 11.7 E4S on RHEL 8 addresses multiple vulnerabilities, including a critical privilege escalation via stale SASL PLAIN authentication (CVE-2026-18922, CVSS 9.8), a heap buffer overflow in SASL packet handling (CVE-2026-18355, CVSS 7.5), and a pre-authentication NULL pointer dereference (CVE-2026-18453, CVSS 7.5). The update also resolves a command injection flaw in the Cockpit LDAP editor and an ACI bypass for anonymous clients. Red Hat has rated this update as Critical, and affected systems should be patched immediately using the referenced Red Hat advisory.
